About Us
At Agape Christian School we treasure every life that’s entrusted into our care. A Godly education is fundamental to the development of each child. Agape’s principal, Mr. Clarence Jennings, is committed to excellence in education and believes in encouragement, praise and discipline where it is needed.
We pledge Agape to a standard of excellence in a world that is all too often willing to settle for mediocrity. It is our passion and vision to make a difference in the lives of children. As an Educational institution, it is our aim to equip our children with knowledge and equally impart biblical wisdom.
Agape’s History
Starting in 1996, with only one Grade 1 class of 15 learners, to where we now have ±460 learners and over 40 staff members. This includes Grade R to Matric and a total of 23 classes.
The birth of Agape Christian School can only be attributed to God’s grace and love being manifested in it’s staff, and being dedicated to a Christian model of education.
A pressing need was seen in our local community for an independent Christian school which could offer a quality curriculum that would provide each learner with the opportunity to develop the moral strengths, spiritual insight, academic integrity, civic responsibility and character development to live life as a responsible member of society.
Education
We believe in a balanced education, where the learners are encouraged to participate in academic, spiritual, cultural and sporting activities.
We are registered with the Gauteng Department of Education and accredited with Umalusi. We follow the CAPS Curriculum and due to us being a private Christian school, we have the freedom to select what we want to share, teach and build upon in this curriculum.
Small classes allow for individual attention, aiming at achieving a high academic standard. The maximum number of learners permitted in a classroom is 25.
