Grade 1 – 3
The foundational years of a child’s life are vital in establishing the basis for how they will grow in formal schooling, as this is when reading, writing, and numeracy are taught. Our Foundation Phase teachers are dedicated to making school an enjoyable and safe place for our learners.
Learners coming into Agape for the first time complete a Grade 1 readiness assessment, and parents receive extensive feedback.
Subjects offered:

- Afrikaans (First additional language)

- Life Skills (Creative Arts, personal and social well-being)
- Physical Education
- Computer Lessons
- Bible
- Extra lessons are also offered afterschool
During the year we have some fun day events planned for our Foundation Phase, these include:
- Action attraction fun day
- Our Grade 1 orientation party and parents information morning
- Spellathon and Mental Maths Challenges
- National book character day
- Valentines and Spring picnics
- Concerts
- Talent shows
- Prize giving – All learners are invited, as every learner receives a Christian character certificate
